What Is Orudis SR Used For?

Orudis SR contains ketoprofen and belongs to a family of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). It helps manage pain and inflammation associated with arthritis conditions.

Primary Uses

Orudis SR is used to treat the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It relieves pain and reduces inflammation including swelling, redness and soreness that may occur with these conditions.

How It Works

These medicines work by relieving pain and inflammation. Although Orudis SR can relieve the symptoms of pain and inflammation, it will not cure your condition.

Good to know: For arthritis, Orudis SR should be taken every day for as long as your doctor prescribes to help control pain, swelling and stiffness.

How to Take Orudis SR

Take Orudis SR exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.

Dosage Instructions

The usual dose is 200mg taken once a day, with food and plenty of fluids. Take Orudis SR at about the same time each day. Depending on your condition, you may need Orudis SR for a few days, a few weeks or for longer periods.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take your next dose when you are meant to. If you miss your dose at the usual time, and if there is still a long time until your next dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then go back to taking it as you would normally.

Important: Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose you missed. Do not take more than the recommended dose unless your doctor tells you to.
