What Is Ebglyss Used For?

Ebglyss is a prescription medication that helps treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema, in adults and adolescents 12 years and older.

Primary Uses

Ebglyss is used to treat moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) in adult and adolescent patients who are 12 years of age and older.

How It Works

Ebglyss belongs to a group of medicines called monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking a specific protein called interleukin-13 (IL-13), which contributes to inflammation and plays a role in atopic dermatitis.

How to Take Ebglyss

Ebglyss is given as an injection under your skin using a pre-filled autoinjector pen. Your doctor will show you or your caregiver how to inject it properly.

Dosage Instructions

Starting dose: Two 250 mg injections at Week 0, then two 250 mg injections at Week 2, then one 250 mg injection every 2 weeks from Week 4 to Week 16. Maintenance dose: From Week 16 onwards, one 250 mg injection every 4 weeks if you respond well to treatment. If response is inadequate, your doctor may continue every 2 weeks until Week 24. Remove from refrigerator at least 45 minutes before injection. Inject into stomach area (at least 5 cm from belly button) or front of thigh (at least 5 cm above knee and below groin). Change injection sites each time.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If you miss your dose at the usual time, inject the missed dose as soon as possible. Then take your next dose at your regular scheduled time. If you have questions about your schedule, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Important: Use each autoinjector pen for single use only. Do not inject in areas where skin is tender, bruised, red, hard, or affected by eczema.
