What Is Neulactil Used For?

Neulactil contains periciazine, which belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazines. It helps manage various mental health conditions and behavioral symptoms.

Primary Uses

Neulactil is prescribed to treat patients who feel very anxious and/or tense. It helps control symptoms such as impulsiveness and aggression. It’s also used for patients with severe mental conditions where a person loses contact with reality and is unable to think and judge clearly.

How It Works

Neulactil belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazines that work on brain chemicals to help control symptoms of mental health conditions.

Good to know: Your doctor may have prescribed Neulactil for another reason – ask them if you have questions about why it was prescribed for you.

How to Take Neulactil

Your doctor or pharmacist will tell you exactly how many tablets to take each day based on your condition and other medicines you may be taking.

Dosage Instructions

Swallow the tablets with a glass of water. Take Neulactil at about the same time each day for best results. It doesn’t matter if you take it before or after food. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor tells you – Neulactil helps control your condition but doesn’t cure it.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose when scheduled. Otherwise, take it as soon as you remember, then return to your normal schedule. Don’t take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Important: Never stop taking Neulactil or change your dose without checking with your doctor first, even if you feel better.
