What Is Lyzalon Used For?

Lyzalon contains pregabalin, an anticonvulsant medication that helps control brain chemicals which send signals to nerves. It works to prevent seizures and also provides pain relief.

Primary Uses

Lyzalon treats neuropathic pain (pain caused by nerve damage or abnormalities) and controls epilepsy (a condition causing repeated seizures or fits). It may be used alone or combined with other medications.

How It Works

Lyzalon belongs to anticonvulsants that control brain chemicals sending signals to nerves, preventing seizures from occurring. It also has pain-relieving effects for nerve-related pain.

How to Take Lyzalon

Take Lyzalon exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor may start with a low dose and gradually increase it to find the right amount for your condition.

Dosage Instructions

The usual dose ranges from 150 mg to 600 mg per day, divided into two doses. Swallow capsules whole with a full glass of water. Take at the same time each day for best results. Can be taken with or without food.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If it’s almost time for your next dose (within 4 hours), skip the missed dose and take your next scheduled dose. Otherwise, take it as soon as you remember, then return to your normal schedule.

Important: Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose, as this may increase your risk of side effects.
