What Is Abyraz Used For?

Abyraz contains aripiprazole, which belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotic agents that help improve symptoms of certain mental health conditions.

Primary Uses

Abyraz is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, a mental illness that affects thinking, feelings, and behavior. Your doctor may prescribe it for other reasons as well.

How It Works

Abyraz belongs to antipsychotic agents that work to improve symptoms of certain types of mental illness by affecting brain chemistry.

Good to know: There is no evidence that this medicine is addictive.

How to Take Abyraz

Take Abyraz exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It’s important to take it consistently to get the best results.

Dosage Instructions

Unless your doctor gives different directions, take Abyraz only once a day at the same time each day. Swallow tablets whole with a full glass of water. You can take it with or without food. Continue taking it even if you feel better, as improvement may take several days to weeks.

What If You Miss a Dose?

If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. If not, take it as soon as you remember, then return to your normal schedule. If you’re unsure what to do, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Important: Never take a double dose to make up for a missed dose, as this may increase your chance of side effects.
