How to Take Firazyr
Firazyr is administered via subcutaneous injection into the fatty tissue under the skin.
Dosage Instructions
Adults typically receive one injection of 30 mg (3 mL) at the onset of HAE symptoms. If symptoms persist, an additional injection may be given after 6 hours, with a maximum of 3 injections in 24 hours. For children aged 2 to 17 years, the dose is based on body weight, ranging from 1 mL to a maximum of 3 mL.
What If You Miss a Dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not double the dose if it's almost time for your next scheduled injection.
Important: Do not exceed 3 injections in a 24-hour period.

Like all medications, this medicine can cause side effects. Most are mild and temporary, but some require medical attention.

Who Should Not Take Firazyr
Do not use Firazyr if you are allergic to icatibant or any of its ingredients. It should not be given to children under 2 years of age or those weighing less than 12 kg.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Do not breastfeed for 12 hours after using Firazyr.
