CREATINE FACTS: CREATINE MEN VS WOMEN

Women usually have lower creatinine levels compared to men because women have less muscle tissue. Among adults without kidney disease, men have approximately 0.6 to 1.2 milligrams/deciliters (mg/dL) of creatinine, whereas women have between 0.5 to 1.1 mg/dL of creatinine.

CREATINE FACTS: IS CREATININE ANOTHER TYPE OF CREATINE

Creatine is made from creatine, a supplier of energy to the muscle and a chemical waste product in the blood that passes through the kidneys to be filtered and eliminated in urine. The chemical waste is a by-product of normal muscle contractions. So, the answer is no, creatinine is not another analog of creatine.

CREATINE FACTS: WHAT DOES CREATINE DO IN THE BODY?

Regardless of the form or delivery method, once in the cell, creatine helps the body produce greater levels of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) which is a chemical required for making muscles contract effectively. Greater levels of ATP can ultimately lead to improvements in strength, power and endurance and performance.
