Muscle Media is an open-access magazine about training, nutrition, supplements, recovery and the thinking behind performance. We publish useful, readable stories grounded in evidence and the experience of our contributors.
Our writers and editors
Dr. Tom Fisher, our editor-in-chief, leads the magazine’s editorial work and reviews contributor articles. Bylines credit the writer, and author pages describe each contributor’s relevant background and experience. Articles written for the magazine by Dr. Tom carry his byline. A separate review credit identifies his editorial role on contributor work.
Evidence and reporting
We check factual claims against original research, authoritative guidance and other appropriate primary sources. References help readers find the evidence behind a story. A study’s participants, methods and results matter: findings about one ingredient, exercise or population are not a promise about every product or person.
We explain meaningful limitations beside the claims they qualify. We do not invent interviews, quotations, first-hand experience, test results, credentials or references. Editing should preserve the writer’s meaning, distinctive voice and useful examples while making the story easier to read.
AI assistance and illustrations
We may use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, organization, editing and illustrations. People remain responsible for the published work. AI output is not a source; claims and citations still need checking. Generated quotations, fictional experiences and invented people have no place in our reporting.
AI-generated images are illustrations, not documentary photographs of real people or events. Original manuscripts and prior versions are retained in our editorial records.
Commercial relationships
Paid partnerships, supplied products and affiliate relationships relevant to a story are disclosed clearly. Partnership articles follow the same factual and attribution standards as other work. We do not promise a favorable conclusion or a particular result for a reader.
Corrections and updates
To report an error, contact our editorial team. Include the article URL, the passage in question and a source or explanation that helps us assess it.
Substantive corrections explain what changed and, where useful, why. Formatting changes do not reset an article’s original publication date. Changes to authorship, evidence or meaning receive editorial attention.
Health information
Our articles provide education and context. They do not provide a diagnosis, an individual treatment plan or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Discuss personal health, injury, medication and treatment decisions with a professional who knows your circumstances.
